What a great weekend I have just had delivering a weekend happiness programme to a group in a beautiful garden setting in the heart of London.
Over two days we looked a range of topics, ideas and exercises which can be used to help people improve their happiness. The aim of the weekend was to act as a catalyst, inspiring people to move forward with their happiness, taking action on that 40% within their control.
The weekend covered topics such as goal setting and action planning, managing stress and having fun, being more optimistic, building resilience, expressing gratitude, challenging limiting beliefs and creating new positive beliefs, confidence building and much more!
There was plenty of opportunity for the group to work together and share ideas, thoughts and feelings. The weekend showed that people are resourceful and are able to find their own answers. It highlighted that being in a supportive group environment is helpful and positive. Many people find it is great to know that they are not alone.
As with every time I run a happiness programme, I learnt a lot from others. I just needed to listen.
One theme of the weekend is that life is an adventure. I think one of the keys to happiness is to say yes to opportunities when they come along, and remember what Mario Andretti said:
“If everything is under control, you are not going fast enough.”
